What Does Life Need to Live?

"What does Life need to Survive?" is the second of five modules in the "Astrobiology in the classroom Life on Earth...and elsewhere?" Found on page 11 of the educator guide. Understanding that Life Needs Water, Nutrients, and Energy by growing organisms in one of 12 classroom environments and identify common requirements (e.g., water, nutrients, and energy). Students will design a mission to identify habitable places by searching for water, nutrients, and energy. There is also a math activity measuring calories.
