Students perform a series of classroom experiments on forces, motion, mass, weight and Newton's Laws of Motion and compare their results to those of astronauts performing similar experiments on the International Space Station. Videos of the astronauts performing the experiments on the ISS are made available for students to compare results. Stretching Mass, Air-powered Mass, Accelerating Mass, Design Your Own ISS Experiment, Careers in Space and International Space Station Partners are the most relevant activities to this lesson.
